Fisher. Eclipse

Investigators Yevgeniy Bokov and Valeriy Kozyrev are drawn into a new nightmare when a child goes missing in a sunny resort town on Russia’s southern coast. What seems like an isolated case soon unravels into a string of disappearances, forcing the detectives to confront a web of secrets, fear, and corruption beneath the idyllic surface. Time is running out, and the line between hunter and hunted blurs in the encroaching darkness.

The second season was directed by Alexander Tsoy, who took over most of the creative control. Unlike the first season, which had multiple directors, Eclipse benefits from a more unified tone and vision, giving it a cohesive cinematic feel.

The series was filmed in Moscow, the Moscow region, and on Russia’s southern coast (Abkhazia). This shift from the gray, suburban landscapes of Season 1 to bright seaside settings created a powerful visual contrast between the sunny façade and the darkness beneath.

The opening features a Russian-language cover of “Where Did You Sleep Last Night?”, while the closing credits use the haunting track “Hey, Buddy!” (“Эй, дружок!”) by the underground Russian band Porez na Sobake.

While Season 1 focused on the grim suburban murders of teenagers, Eclipse moves the story to a southern resort town, where the disappearance of a child triggers a new string of brutal crimes. The idyllic seaside setting makes the horror even more disturbing, turning the bright coast into a backdrop of moral decay, guilt, and human darkness.
