A year has passed since Meglin’s death, but Esenya is still haunted by the memories of that fateful day. Her new life — a husband, a growing daughter, a fragile calm — feels hollow without the thrill and terror of her former work. When a string of mysterious murders shakes the city, Esenya returns to the investigative field, only to lose another close friend on her first day back. To track down the killer, she must once again embrace the Method — and summon everything Meglin once taught her. As she delves deeper into the case, the boundary between her past trauma and present reality begins to blur, forcing her to face the ghosts she tried so hard to forget — and perhaps become one herself.

Method 2 marked a long-awaited return of the cult psychological thriller after a five-year hiatus. Fans had been speculating for years whether the story of Esenya and Meglin would ever continue.

Although Konstantin Khabenskiy’s character Meglin dies in the first season, his presence is deeply felt throughout the sequel — not through flashbacks alone, but as a psychological echo guiding Esenya’s actions./p>

Filming took place in Moscow and St. Petersburg, with several scenes shot at real police facilities to enhance authenticity.
