On New Year’s Eve in Moscow, a sharp-tongued student named Sasha has a chance encounter with Serafim — a mysterious young man who turns out to be an angel. As their fleeting relationship unfolds over a single winter day, Sasha is forced to choose between ordinary human love and the impossible miracle that has entered her life. What begins as a whimsical romance quietly turns into a story about freedom, faith, and the cost of believing in something real.

Although inspired by a short story titled A Christmas Angel, the movie is deeply tied to Russian New Year traditions rather than Western Christmas. In Russia, New Year’s Eve carries the emotional weight of Christmas, and the story fully embraces that cultural context.
