Young and modern Natasha and Roma dream of a small, European-style seaside wedding. But Natasha’s domineering stepfather has other plans — a loud, traditional banquet designed to impress officials and boost his status. To escape the spectacle, the couple secretly arranges their own ceremony. When both weddings unexpectedly collide, the night spirals into a chaotic clash of generations, traditions, and pure drunken madness.

Despite its modest budget, Bitterly! became one of the most commercially successful Russian comedy films of the 2010s, turning a low-cost production into a massive domestic hit.

The film is shot partly in a mockumentary style, deliberately resembling a chaotic amateur wedding video. This visual approach adds realism and makes the comedy feel uncomfortably authentic.
